New blog, new beginning, new project. find out more about the origin of Peace for Pit Bulls.

Hi there, I'm Borbala, and this year I created my passion project called Peace for Pit Bulls. People have such a negative perception about Pit Bulls. For example my family never had a bad encounter with the breed but they still implied that Pit Bulls are vicious animals.
“In the '70s they blamed the Dobermans, in the '80s they blamed the German Shepherds, in the '90s they blamed the Rottweilers. Now they blame the Pit Bulls.” -Cesar Milan
When researching for my project, I was looking for some statistics about dog bites, as I was expecting, data shows that Labradors bite more people annually than Pit Bulls do.
However I was surprised to see that every single website had a nice article and a picture of Pit Bulls on the front page. I was shocked to see the gigantic role, the media plays in making these dog's lives miserable.
Research on Save a Bull website shows, that about 60 percent of Pit Bulls are put on euthanasia lines, straight upon arriving at shelters. They also mention that only about 1 in 600 Pit Bull puppies will have a forever, loving home.
This year with my project I will try to work with as many Pit Bulls as possible, to make them more adoptable, raise awareness for the breed. Many people would be surprised to hear, but Pit Bulls actually make great therapy dogs. They're loyal and loving, and really affectionate with people. I have many exciting plans for this year, so make sure you stick around and see the well desired change for yourself.
