This Saturday, work was really overwhelming, and not nearly as uplifting as the first week but here I go.

Pammy: I was telling everyone, how great Pammy did the first time, and how much progress she made, and I just went on and on how good of a puppy she is. That was a long time ago. This week, I felt exactly the opposite. It was really my fault, I only had like 15 minutes left of using the yards, before we started cleaning up, and I was extremely tired. But as I heard a wise man say once, “When you look at like you have 15 minutes, it'll take you all day. When you look at it like you have all day, well, it'll take you 15 minutes”. It is so true. The basics of any kind of training with any kind of animal, is that you need to be patient, and always a 100 percent there. My distractions rubbed off on Pammy and she started being distracted as well. We didn't make much progress. :(

Libby: On the other hand, I was extremely excited, because I promised myself that Libby would be my first priority this week. I asked one of the girls to help me bring her out, thinking if I can get her out and make her tired, she would not have the energy to worry about other dogs. Or at least that was my plan. But it changed as soon as I got out to the yards.

When she was released from the leash, she ran away, and showed extremely submissive behavior. She got scared from the sound of the clicker and my footsteps, and however she would be very welcoming when I was on her level, she was really hesitant when I stood up. That was clue number one.

My second clue was when I tried to play fetch with her thinking, we can just simply get rid of her energy…. As soon as I lifted the stick, she bolted. I couldn't even find her for a couple of minutes because she hid in the other side of the garden. That is when I realized, she was abused.

All the clues were there but suddenly it came to me, her fear of strangers and men, and why she barks when someone new comes in. It was all there, and now I knew. I didn't expect much of the first meet, the first time is always just discovering what I have to work with, but these results shocked me.

Sparky: Sparky simply continued the training, since he doesn't have many behavioral problems, I just need to be consistent with his training and he is the easiest, and sometimes the funnest patient of mine. But hey, sometimes I need to relax too. :)

Next week, I'm planning to record the footage for my first month of progress videos!!!
